SHR AUTOSENSOR · TECHNICAL NOTES
Build regional coverage around the vehicle systems
A useful catalogue is shaped by the systems fitted in the local vehicle parc—not by a generic “top sellers” list. The priorities below are product-family suggestions, not measured sales rankings.
Public sources rarely provide comparable aftermarket sensor sell-through by region and OE number. We therefore do not label these families as the “best sellers.” They are sensible coverage areas to review with distributors, using local registration data, emissions rules and confirmed customer enquiries.
| Region | Product families worth checking | What to verify locally |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | Lambda/O₂; NOx, exhaust-temperature and DPF differential-pressure sensors for equipped diesel applications; direct TPMS; crank/cam position sensors. | Engine and emissions version, sensor position, production date, connector and SCR/DPF layout. Do not assume every diesel has the same aftertreatment package. |
| Southeast Asia | O₂/lambda, crank/cam, MAF/MAP, coolant and fuel-pressure, fuel-level, ABS speed; diesel aftertreatment families where fitted. | Country, model year, engine code, fuel and locally assembled/imported variant. GAIKINDO publishes Indonesian vehicle sales and production indicators; national mixes differ across ASEAN. |
| North America | O₂/air-fuel, TPMS, ABS wheel speed, crank/cam and air-management sensors; NOx/DEF/EGT/DPF pressure for equipped heavy-duty and diesel vehicles. | VIN, engine family, emissions label, 315/433 MHz TPMS requirements for the exact vehicle and relearn procedure. The U.S. TPMS rule specifies warning performance, not a universal sensor interchange. |
| South America | O₂/air-fuel, MAF/MAP, crank/cam and fuel-system sensors; exhaust sensors for diesel commercial vehicles where installed. | Country-specific fuel, model and emissions package. Anfavea’s Brazilian data separates registrations by fuel type; flex-fuel coverage makes exact vehicle and sensor-position checks important. |
Before adding a new SKU
Collect local enquiry counts, confirmed OE/VIN fitments, returns and sample results. A product family can be relevant to a region while a particular part number has little demand—or no valid application there.
