Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensors
Load measurement for speed-density and turbo systems
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensors
Absolute pressure, ratiometric output, OE-matched range — the sensor that decides how much fuel a speed-density engine gets.
MAP sensing is the load signal for engines without an air-mass meter and the boost signal for everything turbocharged. Range and linearity are the product: a sensor specified for a naturally aspirated engine will read implausibly on a turbo application long before it sets a code.
Our MAP sensors are specified per application — 100 kPa, 250 kPa, 300 kPa and 400 kPa absolute families — with the ratiometric output and pin-out the OE part uses.
Cross-reference your OE number and we will return the exact range, connector and transfer curve before any order is placed.
Representative series and where they fit
Representative series, not an exhaustive price list. Series codes are our internal naming; the connector and range cells are what a buyer actually checks first. For any OE number you fit we will return the exact SHR equivalent with its own datasheet.
| Series | Sensing element | Range | Connector | Typical fitment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MAP-1xx | Piezo-resistive, 100 kPa | 20 – 105 kPa abs | 3-pin, clipped | Naturally aspirated petrol |
| MAP-2xx | Piezo-resistive, 250 kPa | 20 – 250 kPa abs | 3-pin, threaded | Turbo petrol / diesel |
| MAP-3xx | Piezo-resistive, 400 kPa | 20 – 400 kPa abs | 3-pin, bolted | High-boost and truck |
OE numbers in demand
Numbers harvested from current after-market demand in our categories, with the application the demand carried. This is a statement of what we cross-reference routinely — not a fitment guarantee. Send your OE number and we will confirm coverage and return the datasheet before any order is placed.

Why distributors buy from SHR
Range families from 100 to 400 kPa
Specified per application rather than one-size — a naturally aspirated range reads implausibly on a turbo engine long before it sets a code.
Ratiometric 0–5 V output
The ECU reads load from a voltage proportional to its own 5 V reference, exactly as the OE part delivers, with nothing to calibrate in the vehicle.
Full-range temperature compensation
Compensated across −40 to +125 °C, because a MAP sensor that drifts with under-bonnet heat changes fueling without ever failing a self-test.
Media-resistant sensing port
Rated for charged intake air and EGR dilution, which corrodes and fouls ports specified for clean air.
OE connector and mounting
Pin-out, port thread and bracket per the OE part number.
Fitment coverage
- Speed-density petrol engines
- Turbocharged diesel and petrol
- Light commercial and truck
- Aftermarket ECU conversions
