Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors
High-temperature exhaust gas sensors for DPF, SCR, turbo and turbo-aftertreatment circuit control, PT1000 and thermocouple variants.
The EGT reading drives the strategies that keep an aftertreatment system alive: DPF regeneration timing, SCR boost, turbo inlet temperature limits and catalyst protection shutdowns. A slow or drifting sensor will push a regeneration when it should not run, or will fail to start one when it should — both are ways an engine ends up with a failed DPF and an unplanned downtime.
We supply the 4-wire PT1000 variants that dominate modern diesel platforms, and thermocouple K-type units for high-temperature locations. Heated versions bring the probe to operating temperature within seconds of start-up, which matters most for regeneration control.
Probe length, thread size and connector are matched to your application. Send the OE number or the thread dimension and we will return the SHR equivalent with the measured thermal response curve.
Representative series and where they fit
Representative series, not an exhaustive price list. Series codes are our internal naming; the connector and range cells are what a buyer actually checks first. For any OE number you fit we will return the exact SHR equivalent with its own datasheet.
| Series | Sensing element | Range | Connector | Typical fitment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EGT-PT | PT1000, 4-wire | −40 to +1050 °C | 4-pin, M18×1.5 | DPF inlet & SCR |
| EGT-K | Thermocouple type K | −20 to +1050 °C | 2-pin ceramic | Manifold & pre-catalyst |
| EGT-HT | PT1000 + heater | −40 to +1050 °C | 5-pin, M18×1.5 | Regeneration control |
OE numbers in demand
Numbers harvested from current after-market demand in our categories, with the application the demand carried. This is a statement of what we cross-reference routinely — not a fitment guarantee. Send your OE number and we will confirm coverage and return the datasheet before any order is placed.

Why distributors buy from SHR
4-wire PT1000 as standard
Temperature-independent resistance compensation removes cable-loss error, which matters in a long underbody run.
Thermocouple K available
For manifold and pre-catalyst locations where the sensor sees the highest temperatures in the vehicle.
Optional heater
10 – 32 W heated variants reach operating temperature within seconds, which is what makes regeneration control reliable.
IP69K sealed housing
Survives underbody cleaning, water traps and coolant spray.
Custom probe geometry
Probe length, thread and insertion depth matched to the exact installation location.
Fitment coverage
- DPF regeneration control
- SCR and selective catalytic reduction
- Turbocharger inlet temperature limit
- Heavy-duty diesel engines
- Diesel generator sets and marine diesel
- Racing and performance exhaust control
