Crankshaft & Camshaft Position Sensors
Hall-effect crankshaft and camshaft position sensors for fuel injection timing, ignition sequencing and variable valve timing on petrol and diesel platforms.
Without a valid crank and cam signal there is no engine start — the ECU cannot inject or spark without knowing where the engine is. These sensors are therefore the highest-volume failure item in the petrol and diesel aftermarket, typically worn out by coolant leak, oil contamination or thermal cycling at the mounting location.
Our sensors use hall-effect elements with a precisely specified air gap to the ring gear. Output amplitude, timing phase and electrical degree are measured on a dynamometer at the nominal gap for your vehicle, and the connector is matched so the ECU accepts the sensor without coding.
Both crankshaft and camshaft variants are available in 5 V, 8 V, 12 V and 24 V supply versions, with cable length and clip matched to the OE routing.
Representative series and where they fit
Representative series, not an exhaustive price list. Series codes are our internal naming; the connector and range cells are what a buyer actually checks first. For any OE number you fit we will return the exact SHR equivalent with its own datasheet.
| Series | Sensing element | Range | Connector | Typical fitment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CKP-5 | Hall-effect, 5 V | 0–8000 rpm | 3-pin, B5000 | Gasoline passenger car |
| CKP-12 | Hall-effect, 12 V | 0–8000 rpm | 4-pin, Molex B4326-5 | Diesel & light commercial |
| CKP-24 | Hall-effect, 24 V | 0–4000 rpm | 4-pin, Molex B4326-5 | Heavy-duty commercial |
OE numbers in demand
Numbers harvested from current after-market demand in our categories, with the application the demand carried. This is a statement of what we cross-reference routinely — not a fitment guarantee. Send your OE number and we will confirm coverage and return the datasheet before any order is placed.

Why distributors buy from SHR
Precision air-gap specification
The gap to the ring gear is set to the value your ECU was calibrated against — not a nominal range.
Measured timing phase
Electrical-degree accuracy verified on a dynamometer at the nominal gap before packaging.
Four supply voltages
5 V, 8 V, 12 V and 24 V versions cover passenger cars and commercial vehicles alike.
IP69K for coolant locations
Sealed housing for sensors mounted where coolant leaks are a common wear path.
OE-matched connector and cable
The ECU accepts the sensor with no coding and no adapting harness.
Fitment coverage
- Petrol engines — ignition timing
- Diesel engines — injection timing
- Variable valve timing control
