SHR AUTOSENSOR · TECHNICAL NOTES

An OE number is a starting point, not the whole fitment

The same vehicle badge can cover several engines, emissions packages and production changes. Before quoting a sensor, check the number against the vehicle and the part actually being replaced.

1. Record the complete number. Keep spaces, suffixes and revision letters. A missing final letter can point to a different connector, calibration or superseded part.

2. Identify the vehicle precisely. Use the VIN where possible, then note model year, engine code, fuel type, market and emissions standard. For commercial vehicles, record chassis or engine serial information when available.

3. Confirm sensor position and system. Oxygen sensors may be before or after the catalyst; NOx sensors can sit before or after SCR components; wheel-speed sensors vary by axle and side. A component name alone does not settle the application.

4. Compare the physical interface. Check connector keying and pin count, cable length, mounting thread or bracket, pressure ports and hose layout. For TPMS, include frequency, protocol, valve type and relearn requirements.

5. Verify in an appropriate catalogue. Manufacturer and OE parts catalogues are the best route for the vehicle-to-OE relationship. Aftermarket cross-reference tools are useful for finding alternatives, but check their stated year, engine and position notes. TecAlliance describes its OE data as analysed from OE electronic parts catalogues; DENSO and Niterra offer application lookups.

Public reference examples — not a sales ranking

The examples below were found in public product or parts listings. They illustrate how numbers are published; they do not prove that SHR stocks, manufactures or has tested the matching part. Check the OE EPC or VIN-specific catalogue before ordering.

Sources are commercial catalogue or retailer pages, not a substitute for the vehicle maker’s EPC. Where sources disagree, do not merge applications. A match is confirmed only after the exact vehicle and part details are checked.

For an enquiry, include the old part label or a clear photo of the label and connector. We can then check the number against the available product data and state any remaining uncertainty.
