A brake pad wear sensor is a loop of resistance wire embedded in the pad that opens when the friction material reaches its minimum. The ECU watches for the open circuit and lights the dashboard warning.
The hard part is not the wire — it is the lead length, the clip geometry and the connector, which differ by pad and caliper family. A sensor with the right loop but the wrong lead cannot be fitted.
We supply per OE part number: lead length, clip, connector and heat-rated insulation matched to the application, for passenger cars and heavy trucks.
